Stickney, William, 1878-1924.

Stickney was born in Bethel, Vt., in 1878. He was graduated from Dartmouth College in 1900 and from Harvard Medical School in 1903. He was one of the two Dartmouth students who participated in a summer study program in Greenland with Dartmouth professor C.H. Hitchcock. The Dartmouth group studied the ice sheet that covers a large portion of Greenland.
