Biographical Note

William Van Wyck (1883-1956) was a critic, lecturer, and USC alumnus (BA 1917; MA 1918). He also attended the University of Geneva, New York University, and UCLA. He published a number of translations, including ones of The Canterbury Tales, Cyrano de Bergerac, Sonnets for Helen, and Chanticleer .
